What is layered lighting?
Layered lighting combines ambient, task, and accent lighting so a room works well and looks its best. It’s the approach we use in many East Valley remodels.
Dimmers and controls tie the layers together, so you can set the mood or light up a workspace.
What outdoor lighting works best in Arizona?
Fixtures rated for wet locations, with UV-resistant finishes, hold up best to our sun, dust, and monsoon storms. We protect outdoor circuits the way code requires.
Patio, path, landscape, and security lighting make your yard usable after dark. If you’re in an HOA, check exterior lighting guidelines before choosing fixtures.
When should lighting be planned in a remodel?
As early as possible, ideally at the framing stage. That’s when fixtures, switches, and controls can go exactly where they should.
We work with you and your designer or builder. If older wiring can’t support the plan, we can handle rewiring or a panel upgrade too.
Do you install commercial lighting?
Yes. We install, retrofit, and maintain efficient lighting for offices, retail spaces, and warehouses.

Why is my light fixture flickering or buzzing?
Often it’s a loose connection or a failing fixture, but it can point to a wiring problem. A warm switch is a warning sign.

Frequently asked questions
Can you add recessed lights to my existing ceiling?
Usually, yes. Retrofit recessed fixtures are designed for existing ceilings, and we’ll check attic access and framing first.
Will LED lighting lower my electric bill?
LED fixtures use far less energy than incandescent and halogen lighting and give off less heat. Actual savings depend on how much you use your lights.
Do you install Lutron dimmers and smart controls?
Yes. We use a lot of Lutron products for dimmers and lighting controls, and we’ll match the control to your fixtures and needs.
Can a ceiling fan go where my light fixture is now?
Often, yes, but a fan needs a fan-rated box. We check the existing box and replace it if needed.
Do you work with interior designers and builders?
Yes. We regularly coordinate on remodels and custom builds so the electrical plan supports the design.
