What electrical problems do you fix?
We fix the full range of residential and commercial electrical problems. The most common calls are:
- Breakers that trip repeatedly, or GFCI outlets that won’t reset
- Outlets, switches, or whole rooms with no power
- Flickering or dimming lights
- Warm outlets, buzzing, or a burning smell
- Partial power, with half the house out
- Outdoor and pool circuits affected by heat, water, or storms
- Problems from unpermitted or DIY work
- Code issues from a home inspection
How do you find the cause of an electrical problem?
- Listen: When does it happen, what’s running, and what changed recently?
- Test: We test circuits, connections, and equipment instead of swapping parts and hoping.
- Explain: We show you the cause in plain language and give you a clear price.
- Repair: We fix it properly, and we’ll tell you honestly if we find a bigger issue.
When is an electrical problem an emergency?
Sparks, smoke, scorch marks, or a burning-plastic smell are emergencies. Turn off the affected breaker if you can do so safely, and call for help.
If there’s fire, get out and call 911.
What should I check before I call an electrician?
- Check with SRP or APS if your whole home or neighborhood is out
- Reset a tripped breaker or GFCI once
- If it trips again, leave it off and call us
- Don’t keep resetting a breaker that won’t hold
How do monsoons and summer heat affect electrical systems?
Heavy AC loads stress panels and connections, and monsoon storms bring water, wind, and surges. After a storm, watch for GFCIs that won’t reset, dead outdoor outlets, or anything that smells hot.
Our Wiring Wisdom blog has more monsoon safety tips.
Do you handle commercial electrical repairs?
Yes. We provide emergency repairs to reduce business interruptions, plus compliance checks to keep your property safe and up to code.
Larger fixes can roll into a tenant improvement or power upgrade.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
Common causes are an overloaded circuit, a short or ground fault, a failing appliance, or a worn-out breaker. A tripping breaker is protecting you, so find out why instead of resetting it over and over.
Do you offer emergency electrical service?
Yes, emergency services are available. Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 6am to 6pm, with emergency-only service on weekends, and calls outside regular hours carry an after-hours service call fee that we’ll explain when you call.
Is a warm outlet dangerous?
It can be. A warm outlet or switch can mean a loose connection or an overloaded circuit, so stop using it and have it checked.
Why won’t my GFCI outlet reset?
A GFCI that won’t reset may be detecting a real ground fault, may have water in it, or may have failed. Outdoor GFCIs often trip after monsoon storms, and we can find the cause.
Why does half my house have no power?
Partial power can be caused by a utility problem or a failing connection at the service or panel. Check with SRP or APS first, and if it isn’t an outage, call us right away.
Can you fix problems found in a home inspection?
Yes. We regularly correct items called out in buyer and seller inspections and can document the repairs.
